Use the free quote and travel calculators, templates, and workspace preview. The workspace includes saved jobs, business branding, optional extras, supply usage, stock levels, shopping lists, actual job results and record exports.

Saving your work

The sample workspace is temporary. Choose “Start your workspace” and “Use this device” to keep your own records in the same browser. Download a backup regularly; clearing browser data can remove those records. You can restore a backup on another device.

Email sign-in, account saving and customer approval links are in beta. Check your spam folder if you do not see your sign-in email. Keep backups during testing. Do not rely on the beta as your only business record.

Plans and pricing

Solo is planned at $19 USD per month for one user. Team is planned at $39 USD per month, with staff access and permissions to follow. These are planned prices; paid subscriptions are not open. The earlier $29 desktop bundle is not currently offered for sale. Compare the plans and current availability.

Estimates and approvals

Business details and a logo are set in Your business. Private job notes and costs stay off customer estimates. You can print or save a PDF. The online beta can create an approval link; creating a link does not send it. Anyone with the link can see that estimate. Review the copy before sending it to your customer.

Customer approval records the name entered, selected extras, price and time. It is not payment, an appointment booking or identity verification. If work changes, discuss it and send an updated estimate before doing extra work.

Supplies and results

Supply amounts use the unit you set. For diluted chemicals, record concentrate used. Completing a job deducts its listed quantities once. Corrections return those quantities before you complete it again. Supplier links open the supplier’s site; no orders are placed automatically.

Results use completed jobs and recorded expenses. Sales tax and tips are excluded from revenue. Your pay allowance is shown separately. Shared business expenses are deducted once, rather than also deducting the overhead allowance from each job.

Take a customer payment

Create a payment link in your own Stripe, Square or PayPal account, then paste it into the job. Check the final amount, currency and tax before sending it. Payments go to your provider account. Costbook does not sync payment status; check your provider before marking money received. Your provider’s processing fees apply.

Time and packages

Save a service as a package to reuse its name, work, hours, price and extras. Each new job gets its own copy. Start a timer or enter minutes worked, with a short note. Print the time record if a customer needs an explanation. Agree any extra charges before doing more work.

Purchase terms, cancellation, refunds and the payment provider will be shown before checkout. No order or subscription is created by using this preview.
